David Lee was born on 21 July 1975 in
Jamaica. David has always felt at home
in the ocean and was guided by his mother Jan Lee, owner of the iconic Lady G’Diver dive center. He started scuba diving at age four. By age eight, he was exploring freediving and spearfishing.
Between 2000 and 2005, David set five freediving world
records in the unassisted constant ballast category. During
his last record, he reached an impressive depth of -65 meters
(213 feet) on a single breath air and without fins.
Beyond the depths, David also embraced the thrill of surfing,
kitesurfing, and windsurfing, making the ocean his expansive
playground. Eager to capture and share the joy of these
aquatic pursuits, David mastered the art of photography and
videography early on and specialized in underwater media
creation.
